Laura and Dave's wedding is the perfect example to showcase my approach to creating wedding packages. Alongside my traditional packages for full day/half day weddings, I love to tailor my packages to suit the couple, their vision and bring that to life. Laura and Dave's wedding was just that. We created the package based around an elopement style, as they were married in the stunning Oxford town hall and had a private and intimate party after with a few family and friends. We decided on our initial consultation to split this wedding almost into three separate shoots. An engagement shoot, The wedding ceremony and some family photographs afterwards. My favourite part of this bespoke package was the couple decided they wanted their couple portraits to be taken at a later stage. We picked the perfect sunny Saturday afternoon, in the beautiful village of Minster Lovell to capture this. Laura and Dave turned up wearing their second outfits and we had two hours of exploring the village, capturing some beautiful photographs of them together without any guests, distractions and time limits, it was a photographers dream. I love full day weddings but occasionally when you get a chance to capture couple portraits without a time limit is pure bliss. A wedding day can be extremely full on and with so much to do you sometimes rarely get 30 minutes with your couple alone, so this was a real treat. I also loved the fact everyone was so relaxed during all three of the sessions and I truly believe this shows within the photographs. I am a huge advocate for having this after the wedding shoot and will always include this as an option for all of my weddings, engagement shoots defiantly has a place but I believe this kind of photography session is just as important.
